The mass production line of anticancer nano medications is established with a capacity of annual production of 500 thousand IRR in Pardis Technology Park.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in the first step, the production line of anticancer nano medications is used to annually produce 12 thousand IRR anticancer nano medication (sinadoxosome, injectable). This infrastructure will be soon exploited to produce other nano medications. 

Mahnaz Ghomi, CEO of the knowledge-based company of Exir Nano Sina, which is located in Pardis Technology Park, stated about the properties of this production line: the site for production of injectable nano anticancer products has been established in Iran for the first time with maximum use of Iranian equipment and facilities. This is a multipurpose production line for manufacturing specific anticancer medications based on nano technology, which not only prevents the exist of currency and causes job creation, but it will also produce added value for nano medication industry.

According to Ghomi, value of establishing the site for production of injectable nano anticancer medications has been more than 100 billion IRR, and the knowledge-based company of Exir Nano Sina has aimed to use this site for production of four anticancer injectable liposome medication based on nano technology.

Ghomi also added: each vial of Sinadoxosome is 700$ in America, mass production of which in the country will lead to spending less than one million IRR for each while by cancer patients.

However, 90% of the cost of this product is covered by the insurance company and only 10% is provided by patients. This medication has been manufactured in product line of Sobhan Oncology Company in Rasht, Iran. However, establishment of a new product line will result in the mass production of injectable anticancer nano medications according to the international standards. Currently, sinadoxosome is produced in Iran similar to its foreign counterparts manufactured in America, Belgium and India.

It should be mentioned that this production line was inaugurated in the visit of Mohammad Javad Zarif, minister of foreign affairs, and Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, of Pardis Technology Park.
